If you celebrate a Happy St. Patrick’s Day, the day when the beer turns green, Irish Stew is on the menu, and you get pinched if you’re not wearing green. I guess I’m lucky since I’m staying home today and won’t have to worry about that. Today, I wanted to touch on something that seems to have stirred something up for others. Yesterday, I shared how my promotion of my Build Your Website course didn’t make a single sale last week, and yet I still made money because I was showing up. I also made money because I have some amazing clients, both current and past clients, that turn to me when then need help with their website. It feels like the online world is shifting. I’ve noticed things aren’t selling quite like they used to, and I think it’s because we’re all craving something deeper: a genuine connection. In these uncertain times, we want to know we’re not alone. I want to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Here’s what I’m feeling will make a difference when you are sharing your offers and should help to increase your sales: Humanize your brand: share more behind the scenes content, consider showing your face, your workspace and your processes more, while relating your personal experiences with the challenges of your audience. Encourage conversations: ask questions, respond to comment and look for ways to create a sense of community (I’m thinking about something, that I’ll share with you on Wednesday). Build deeper relationships: consider offering smaller, more intimate group programs or masterminds. Create meaningful content: shift from purely promotional content to more value-driven content, and share content that inspires and empowers your community. I wrote a blog post to dive a bit deeper into what’s been on mind. Also, I’d love to know your thoughts, feel free to leave a comment on the blog or hit reply and share your thoughts. One quick tip for today: write down the first three things that come to mind when you think of and idea. Even just getting them on paper can spark new connections! If you want to dive deeper, let’s chat. |
